The airplane flies at 575 mi/h with no wind. The rate of the wind is 50 mi/h.

The airplane flies at 500 mi/h with no wind. The rate of the wind is 25 mi/h.

The airplane flies at 450 mi/h with no wind. The rate of the wind is 50 mi/h.

The airplane flies at 475 mi/h with no wind. The rate of the wind is 25 mi/h.

460/2.5 = airplane speed - wind

460/2    = airplane speed + wind

 

added together

 

460/2.5 + 460/2 = 2 x airplane speed

414 = 2 x airplane speed

Airplane speed = 207 mph           460/2 = airplane speed + wind       wind= 23mph
