I have a question thats been bugging me recently and I figured someone here might be able to give me a new insight. So picture a 2x2 square in 2-Dimensions with points at: {(0, 0), (2, 0), (2, 2), (0, 2)} with an extra point at (1,1). Firstly, we get the angles to the four points making up the square from the point at (1,1) starting at the smallest point and working Counter-Clockwise. For the sake of argument let us assume that the angles are to be stored and manipulated as component change of dimension(1 Unit Circle). My Question and math follows...

Unit Circle Change Of:
       X          Y
Angle a0 = (-0.707, -0.707); //-135 -3PI / 4
Angle a1 = (0.707, -0.707); //-45 -PI / 4
Angle a2 = (0.707, 0.707); //45 PI / 4
Angle a3 = (-0.707, 0.707); //135 3PI / 4

//a1(-45) - a0(-135) (diff) (Should be 90)
delta = (0.707 - -0.707, -0.707 - -0.707) = (1.414, 0)(1,0) = 0 degrees (Why?)

//a2(45) - a1(-45) (diff) (Should be 90)
delta = (0.707 - 0.707, 0.707 - -0.707) = (0, 1.414)(0,1) = 90 degrees (Yay!)*

//a3(135) - a2(45) (diff) (Should be 90)
delta = (-0.707 - 0.707, 0.707 - 0.707) = (-1.414, 0)(-1,0) = +/- 180 degrees (Why?)

//a0(-135) - a3(135) (diff) (Should be 90)(Logicaly -135-135 is -270(90) degrees)
delta = (-0.707 - -0.707, -0.707 - 0.707) = (0, -1.414)(0,-1) = - 90 degrees (Why?)

So when I subtract the next angle components from the current angle components I only sometimes get the right answer, any Ideas? Am I just being a fool? Thank you in advance.

I won't go into specifics however I can Tell you I currently live in Europe, however I move quite often part of the job as suppose. If I may ask where you might reside madam? No need for specifics a mere curiousity. A boy? Curse these eyes of mine, I shall prove myself a fool yet and in front of a lady no less.

May I ask if you are of noble birth? Perhaps a lord, or duke?

 And your prompt response would be much appreciated. Rumors tell me that the number 13 be cursed!

Louisiana you say, why I spent about 2 years living there myself. I didn't particularly enjoy the summers though, too many insects for my tastes. Are you by chance a fan of the Saints? I am not personnally never had much interest however that is the state for it no? A lord or duke you say? Nay, M'Lady I am but a humble knight at your service. I jest only. I work in a government job.

 I take not pleasure in football, and indeed! It is the correct state. The summers there are rather intolerable, though the bugs, I enjoy... The coldest it has been so far this winter season is a mere 48degrees...

48 degrees is quite kind for winter. I fear I may not have much time left, although I shall be watching this question on and off through out the day, I must away to continue my work elsewhere. I thank you for the company and if I see you online again I shall write you a message if you shall permit me?

Hi Guest SI and Coldplay,

This is all I got from your question

I have no idea what rotation or what angles you are talking about.  Perhaps you can use my diagram to help you explain better.

If you want to use my diagram in your new post you might be able to cut and past the address from here.

I do not know if that will work though :/
