$$\\(x+1)^2=x^2(x+7)^2\\
x^2+2x+1=x^2(x^2+14x+49)\\
x^2+2x+1=x^4+14x^3+49x^2\\
x^4+14x^3+49x^2-x^2-2x-1=0\\
x^4+14x^3+48x^2-2x-1=0\\$$

It is not easy to find the roots of this.  so I consulted Wolfram|Alpha
