(y + x + x - y) / x =

I thought the answer was 2x but I'm being told I'm wrong?

I did;

(y-y+x+x)/x

y-y=0

(x+x)/x

x+x=2x

(2x)/x

2x

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks again.

Just got to that answer myself and it's accepted it as correct.

Forgot about the x canceling out the x.

Thanks.

So far so good, now that you got 2X as the numerator, you must divide it by the denominator X, which gives you X as the final answer.

Thanks

I thought (2x)/x was the same as (2x)/1x so 2/1 being 2 I thought it was 2x.

Tried the suggested answer of x but again told I'm wrong.
