I think you are supposed to use a calculator:
3.4*8.4*13.9 = 396.984
1 kg = 2.2046 lb
Multiply both sides by 1600
1600 kg = (1600 x 2.2046) lb
1600 kg = 3527 lb
So the average rhinoceros weighs 3527 pounds (to the nearest whole number).
Hope ths helps :)
1 metric ton = 1,000,000 grams
So to convert from metric tons to grams you would move the decimal point to the right (6 times) to make the number larger.
1 km = 0.6214 miles
so
1 km/h = 0.6214 mph
Multiply both sides by 23.
23 km/h = 14.3 mph (to 1 decimal place)
Hope this helps!
Use the logarithm function:
10^x = 19
x = log10(19) = 1.2788
-1/24 = x/2
2(x/2) = 2(-1/24)
x = -2/24 =-1/12
This is how I do it:
(1-0.07)10 = 0.4839823
1-0.4839823 = 0.5160177 = 51.60% to 2 d.p.
Hope that helps :)
