x^2 -x-6  = 0        factor (or use Quadratic Formula if you cannot factor it easily)

(x-3)(x+2) = 0            x = 3  or -2

24 (x+7) = 27 (x+5)

24x + 168 = 27x + 135

3x = 33

x = 11

sec = -4    means   cos = -1/4

sin^2 + cos^2 = 1

1 - cos^2 = sin^2

1 - 1/16   = 15/16      sin = sqrt (15) /4       (positive because csc is positive)

tan =  sin / cos         cot = cos / sin    or   1/ tan               substitute in to find these

csc = 1/sin                        

sin f = opposite side/ hypotenuse

Graph Y is a function.....there is only one value of y for every value of x

    graph x is not a funtion...several values of x have multiple values of y
