(1/2)^10 = 1/1024 of a pie on the 10th day
You were right too..... $ 8.4/hr is the same as $8.40/hr
I think you may just have your formatting incorrect
x^2-7x+c = (x+a)^2 sqrt both sides
+-sqrt(x^2-7x+c) = x+a (The sqrt needs to cover all of the terms on the left)
-x +-sqrt(x^2-7x+c) = a
As a ratio:
$10.50 / 125 % = $x /100%
10.5 (100)/125 = $ x = $ 8.40/hr
30 percent passed BOTH tests.....Only 15% passed ONLY first test
30/(30+15) = 67% of those who passed the first test ALSO passed the second test.
Please do NOT POST QUESTIONS TWICE !! Here is answer if it is 3.2 % growth per HOUR.
3.2% PER HOUR? PER DAY?
need dimension units of gas tank 1.25 x 1.75 x 11 inches? = 24.065 in^3
80 % of this (to fill it) = 19.25 in^3
19.25 in^3 / 231 in^3/gal = .083333 gal
.083333 gal x $3/gal= $ 0.25 (25 cents)
(x-30)+(x-30)+(x-30)=540 Remove parens
x-30 + x -30 + x -30 = 540 Gather 'like' terms
3x - 90 = 540 Add 90 to both sides of equation
3x = 630 Divide both sides by 3
x = 210
2.6=−0.2t Divide both sides by -0.2 to find
t = -13
