Try rechecking the place where you got the question from.

-13 = 5 + 20m -2m

-13 -5 = 5 +18m -5

-18 = 18m

I am assuming you went from 

log x¹⁰ + 120 to 10log(x)+120.

√(50) =√(10) * √ (5) = √ (5) * √ (2) * √(5) =  5√2

√72 = √6 * √12 = √6 * √2 * √6 = 6√2

√45 = √9 * √5 = 3√5
