As far as I figured, It looks like you squared to get. That is indeed the area of X'Y'Z', but the problem asks for the region that is contained in both. I think this is true but, not sure what to do?

Hi Macabrasubwoofer!

I think the answer to the first question is A, strong negative because we see a correlation of downwards sloping.

I also believe that the answer to the second question is D, no correlation. This is because they do not follow any sort of support/line, rather, they are all scattered.
