Yah....I got 162      if you do the math that is what it equals    168 was a typo

(12 x 8 x 3  + 12 x 3 x1)/2 = 162

End of April shows she has 225....

12 players total

   each shakes hands with 8 players (total of two other teams) x 3 times      12 x 8 x 3

      each of the 12 shakes hands (once) with 3 of their teammates......                    12 x 3 x 1

          each handshake involves two people so divide by 2                           

(12 x 8 x 3  + 12 x 3 x 1 )   /  2 =   162 handshakes    (I think!)

so for this triangle,   Tangent 20 = x /10

                  or          10 tan(20) = x

                                10 (.36397) = 3.6397 cm ~  3.6 cm  (rounded)

There are no REAL roots of this equation.

First find the mean of the data numbers

2+4+7+8+9   / 5   = 6

Take the diff from the mean of each of the numbers

4   2  1  2  3      Square these and find the mean

16 4  1  4  9        Mean = 6.8    and take the square root of this     2.6 = S.D.
