1936 ft^2  /  242 ft^2/can = 8 cans of paint.

Here is where you went wrong:

close RP    2*(5x+2) = 360 - 87-39       =======>    2*(5x+2) does not equal  5x + 4

                   10x +4  = 234

I think so RP      10x + 4 = 234

                             10x = 230

                                  x = 23

close RP    2*(5x+2) = 360 - 87-39

                   10x +4  = 234   continue......

OK.....

1  the arc C  all of the way around to A   is   2 * (5x+2)      

           This same arc is equal to 360 - 87 - 39     Right?   Can you do it now?

2  ARC YZ = 2 * 59     This plus  the 75 degree arc      =   2 * 59 + 75

                                                      THIS plus the  17x-20 arc = 360 degrees (the entire circle)

                                                 so  2 * 59 + 75   + 17x -20 = 360     Right?  Need more?

First one....  the arc encompassed by an inscribed angle is TWICE the angle...

   so  16x -10  =  2 * 67

Is that enough help?

Second one   (7x+9) * 2  =46    See that  2 again?
