Okay so I tried to solve it then realized I was doing it all wrong because I wasn't using the right formula. Can someone help me get the formula?

First one....  the arc encompassed by an inscribed angle is TWICE the angle...

   so  16x -10  =  2 * 67

Is that enough help?

 

Second one   (7x+9) * 2  =46    See that  2 again?

9 is correct

 

Let's look at the second one

 

(7x + 9) * 2 =  46      divide both sides by 2

 

7x + 9 =  23           subtract 9 from both sides

 

7x = 14

 

x = 2
