I tested it, and I think it goes down all it goes. If you use latex, I guess you can put it in text, or you can press the latex button like this:
\(x = {-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac} \over 2a}\) Just press the latex button.

(4x + 8) / 2 = 20
2x + 4 = 20
2x = 16
x = 8
