When numbering the pages of a book starting at 1, what are the 187th and 188th digits written?
I think it means 187 and 188, but I am very sure it's incorrect.
Help?

...
the 9th is 9
the tenth is 1
the 11th is 0
....
etc.
You are supposed to find the 187th and 188th DIGITS (not numbers)
