I think that you just need to multiply 1.5 miles by 3, which gives you 4.5 miles. 

So if I'm not wrong the answer will be that she ran 4.5 miles in an hour.

I don't really know how to write an equation for this, but if the total cost for two adults and two kids is $24 and the child's ticket costs half of the adults ticket then it is 8 dollars for an adult and 4 dollars for a child.

8 goes in 24  three times. So 2 times, for the adult tickets, and then u devide the last one by two, which is 4. 

does that make sense?
