tan(2A) = sin(2A) / cos(2A) = 2sinAcosA / (cos^2A - sin^A)
sinA = 1/√10 cos(A) = 3/√10 so we have
tan(2A) = 2(1/√10)(3/√10) / (9/10 - 1/10) = (6/10) /(8/10) = 6/8 = 3/4
cos2A = cos^2(A) - sin^2(A)
So, if cos(A) = -3/5......then
1 - cos^2(A) = sin^(A)
1 - (9/25) = sin^2(A)
16/25 = sin^2(A)
So
cos(2A) = (9/25) - (16/25) = -7/25
x = x^1
x^1*x^2 = x^3 .......remember a^m * a^n = a^(m+n) .....
1.8 = 1 + 8/10 = 1 + 4/5 = 9/5
Call "x" the total....then...
.60x = 1449 .....divide 1449 by .60
x = 2415
8ft. x 5.6ft = 44.8 sq. ft.
I don't see any "m" in the equation to substitute anything into.......????
Thanks, heureka......that's a lot of work for just 3 points !!!!
Re-post this again......nothing is showing up....
(4x+12)-(3x+10) distribute the "-" across the terms in the second set of parentheses
4x + 12 - 3x - 10 combine like terms
x + 2
