I never solved a system of equations by graphing before, but let me try!

If we plug those two into desmos, we get this graph here: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/eju4fhap7x

We see that the intersection point is at (-1, 2). So, x must be -1, and y must be 2.

 

To check our work, we plug in the values into the second equation. So, -2-2=-4. Therefore, x=-1 and y=2
