No.....it fails to pass the "vertical line test".......that is, when any vertical line is drawn on a graph, it can "cut" the function at only one point, and no more. But, x = 4 is a vertical line, so a vertical line laid on top of it would cut it at infinite points.....!!!!
So...if I'm reading the layout of this properly, we have....
RQ / QS = KJ / JL
So
12 / (x + 6) = 3 / x cross-multiply
12x = 3(x + 6) simplify
12x = 3x + 18 subtract 3x from both sides
9x = 18 divide both sides by 9
x = 2
7.5 x 107
V =(1/2) LWH multiply both sides by 2
2V = LWH divide both sides by LW
2V / LW = H

When we have a negative exponent on a term, we just bring that term "across" the fraction bar and write the term with a positive exponent...so we have....
14^5 / 14^-9 =
14^5 (14^9) =
14^14
P = 2L + 2W write as
P = 2(L + W) divide both sides by 2
P/2 = L + W subtract L from both sides
P/2 - L = W
And that's solving for W
