Just multiply all three things together.....that will give you the cubic footage....

If the hammer and screwdriver can be put in either of the first two spots, we have

2! x 3! = 2 x 6 = 12 ways

52 x 5/6 =   130 / 3 = 43 + 1/3

So...you should end up with..... 364 + 43 + 1/3  = 407 + 1/3

Well, JB, you just need to multiply 52 times 7 + 5/6  =  52 x 47/6

Write back if you have trouble.......

Note that the language is confusing.......

If the plant grew 100% of its original size, it would have doubled in size

If it grew 200% of its original size it would have tripled in size

So, 250% of its original size would mean the plant grew 3 + 1/2 times its original size....

Don't feel too stupid......I don't see the "trick," either......maybe there is some "identity" of which we are unaware....!!!

Yeah....the way geno came up with that answer is a "sin"

No......there is nothing to simplify.....

Just "plug" each separate "x" value into (-4/3)x - 3  and find y at that x value

I'll get you started...for x = 6, we have  (-4/3)(6) - 3   = ( -8 - 3 ) = 11 = "y"
