Intro to Geometry could potentially be useful, and Intro to Count+Prob too.

Volume One might be useful but you could then go to AoPS site and see old tests, since they have great explanations.

Since you know the base angles equal 80, the top angle is 20, so the ABD triangle is isoceles and the top is 20+20 = 40,  bottom 70 each.

That means ABD is 70, ADC is 80, so 80-70 = 10?

Im kinda sure that's the answer.

If we divide 5 on both sides we have 2p-3 = 6

Add 3 to both sids so 2p = 9

p= 9/2 = 4.5

A circle diameter 80 has a circumference of 40* 2π = 80π cm. Thus it takes 100*100 / 80π = 10000/80π = 1000/8π = 125/π rotations.

The quadratic formula is

\(x = {-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac} \over 2a}\)

So we have

\(x = {7 \pm \sqrt{-7^2-4*(-9)} \over 2} = {7 \pm \sqrt{49-36} \over 2} = {7 \pm \sqrt{13} \over 2}\)

That's then +/- sqrt(13), so the difference is (7+sqrt(13))/2 - (7-sqrt(13))/2 =

(7 - 7 + sqrt(13) - ( - sqrt(13))/2 = 2(sqrt(13))/2 = sqrt(13)

So I believe the answer is sqrt(13)

So I don't understand where the sqrt(85) came from.
