Multiplying the width by the height gives you the area of the Rectangular wall 12 ft * 20ft = 240 ft^2

Silly me I'm not sure why I thought there'd be an infinite amount of solutions. I thought that taking the arcsine would add a period of 360 degrees to the answer I suppose. Thank you. Is there a way to solve this algebraically? And an additional question for sinx = 1 - x/pi. Can I solve that algebraically? I imagine it'd be mire difficult..

Since the both of you took the time to help me out I hope I won't be an annoyance by asking how exactly you arrived at this part:

A similar identity that I know of is A*sin(x) + B*cos(x) = C*sin(x+v) where tan(v) = b/a

Also, based on the answer you provided and plugging in C it ended up incorrect. 

I skimmed over it and it seems just what I was looking for, it even has exercises!

However x should be less than 75 is how far I got and then got stuck. Is it possible to do this without a graphing calculator?

Also how'd you get the equation for the lines because I'm clueless

the (7/1225)x^2 that is

(1/3) / (2/1) is the same as 1/3 * 1/2 which in turn would become 1/6.

Dividing by x is the same as multiplying by its repciprocal.

For example 8/2 is the same as 8 * 0.5

Dividing by 2 is the same as multiplying by 0.5.

1/2 is the reciprocal of 2/1.( just flip the numbers upside down )
