yes, it is a. although, you can combine like terms and make it

8x+4

(the 8x is from 3x+5x)

As for math being hard, i find it hard too. But we have to just put up with it. What i would do is go look on the internet for some lessons on free websites, or ask a few questions here. NO one knows who you are, so you can ask whatever questions you want.We won't judge. 

mabey you can do it by grade level (ei elemetary, middle, high, and phisics/caculus 7/ whatever you do in collage)

or do 

addtion, subtraction, mutiplcation, division, fractions, order of operations, equations/algebra, graphing, gometry etc.

mabey do subsets in each grade level, so that a middle school student who (for exaple) exceled at probabillity can help a third grader without being to intimadated to answer with questions like "What is the subset of 74 squared times the speed of light in a vaccum divded be the weight of a humming birds eyeball in scientific notation? please show all graphs."

mabey one for riddles/ brain teasers?

to put it simply (no pun intended) do 88 over 22 and simplify

88/22=44/11

the absolut vaule of 9+5 is 14, then just mutiply 24

absoulute vaule  is just take what ever number you got, positive or negitive, and make it positive (basicly)

To be parallel, to lines must have the same slope. Slope in this equation is 3. Just fin an equation set up like

Y=3x+b
