2x^3=3x^2    rewrite   as

2x^3  - 3x^2  = 0     factor

x^2 (2x - 3)  = 0       set both factors to 0.....and we have.....

x^2  = 0                                              and                            2x - 3 = 0

take the square root of both sides                                          add 3 to both sides

x = 0                                                                                    2x = 3

                                                                                          divide both sides by 2

                                                                                             x = 3/2

So.....the two solutions are   x = 0 aand x = 3/2

dividend / divsior   = quotient      ...... so........

dividend = quotient * divisor

Example :

dividend / 4 = 8     .....so......

dividend = 8 * 4    =  32      and this is the dividend !!!

x-3=-2(x+5)    simplify

x - 3 = -2x - 10      add 3, 2x to both sides

3x  = -7      divide both sides by 3

x = -7/3

Not a firm "proof," but

(x + y ) - y  =         

x +  y  - y    =

x + ( y - y )  =

x  +  0   =

x

This cannot be reduced because 71 is a prime number and shares no common factors with 25........we could  express this as :    - (2 + 21/25)

ab + 4a +2b + 8         =

a(b + 4) + 2(b + 4)     =   [take out the common factor, (b + 4), and write back what is left, (a + 2)

(b + 4) ( a + 2)

x2 −2x − 35 = 0    let's factor this....

(x - 7) ( x + 5) = 0    now.....set each factor to 0

x  - 7 =  0                              x + 5  = 0

add 7 to both sides              subtract 5 from both sides

x = 7                                    x  =  -5

And there are the two solutions, isbella  !!!

In the last two, we are just raising the sine function to some power(s).......the first one indicates that we are taking the sine inverse [i.e., finding the angle associated with the value of the sine for that angle ].....so it's the one that is different....!!!

x - 8y = -56      let's put it in this form.....

8y = x + 56      divide both sides by 8

y = (1/8)x + 7

So...the slope is (1/8)   and the y intercept  is just (0, 7)....just as Dragonlance found  !!!!
