If you know the divisor and the quotent how can you find the dividend

dividend / divsior   = quotient      ...... so........

 

dividend = quotient * divisor

 

Example :

 

dividend / 4 = 8     .....so......

 

dividend = 8 * 4    =  32      and this is the dividend !!!

\qquad{$multiply both sides by divisor}\\\\
dividend = Quotient * divisor$$
