Well, anyway......we both got some points out of the deal ......!!!  LOL!!!

We know an opposite leg - RP, and an adjacent leg - RQ

And we can use the tangent inverse to find angle Q

tan^-1(RP/RQ) = tan^-1(6.2/8) = about 37.78°

OK....I used to do that, too!!!.....it can be effective.....but sometimes lengthy....

Let's solve it with some math

Let x be the number they both start with

And when Rachel gives away 22, Xuxian has 3 times as many.

So, at the end, Rachel has x -22  and Xuxian has x + 22

And 3 times the number she has = Xuxian's total......so we have

3(x - 22) = x + 22    simplify

3x - 66 = x + 22     subtract x from both sides

2x - 66 = 22       add 66 to both sides

2x = 88             divide both sides by 2

x = 44     this is what they started with

So, Rachel ends up with 44 - 22 = 22

And Xuxian ends up with 44 + 22 = 66

Daisy, Joo Lun and Florence share $268. Joo Lun has $20 more than Daisy and Florence has twice as much money as Joo Lun. How much money do Daisy and Joo Lun have altogether?

Let the amount that Daisy has = x. Then Joo Lun has x + 20. And the amount that Florence has is 2(x + 20).

So we have

x + x + 20 + 2(x + 20)  = 268     simplify

2x + 20 + 2x + 40 = 268

4x + 60 = 268      subtract 60 from both sides

4x = 208       divide both sides by 4

x = 52   this is the amount Daisy has......anf Joo Lun has $20 more = $72

So, together they have   =  52 + 72   = $124

This question makes no sense.....if they both start wiith the same number and Rachel gives 22 of them away, she can't end up with 3 times as many marbles as Xuxian

We have

W = 25(1 + .0325)^t    where W is the worth after t years  ...   so we have

W = 25(1.0325)¹⁵ = $40.39

15 x 3 = 45       126/4 =  31.5

So....45 - 31.5 =  13.5

And  √13.5 =  about 3.674
