He put 25 in there because he use the complete the square method to solve this.

You do that by taking half the middle term coefficient which is 10 part of the 10 x here so that becomes 5. Then you square that so it becomes 25. You have to add it to both sides so the equation balance.

OK here is a question for you. You say the moon is moving farther away from the Earth and the Earth is moving closer to the sun.  The Earth is gaining mass from cosmic dust so the gravity is stronger but the moon moves away. The sun gets bigger but looses mass by its nuclear reaction so its getting lighter and the gravity is getting weaker, but the Earth is moving closer.

Why do these two things seem in reverse?

If Alan not say the gravity is 24f/s^2 I probably not notice.

So know I wonder why this is not 32f/s^2. I think maybe the ball have a low terminal velocity. To find out that we have to know the drag coefficient and the mass of the ball. I not really know how to do it for this. 

Alan can a drag coefficient make it seem like the gravity is weaker?

The answer to this question

-4+56(45-645)-534=6745

Is false because

-4+56(45-645)-534 = -34138

That not equal to 6745 so the answer is false.

It need a variable somewhere to answer it your way.

Also when you do this remember PEMDAS and pay attention to the sign of the number. 

So first do 45-645 = -600

Then 56 * -600 = -33600

Then add -4 to it and that give -33604

Then subtract 543 so

 -33604-534 = -34183
