3x+2 = m/b

3x = m/b  - 2

x = ( m/b-2)/3

Find the slope between the lines    (y1-y2) / (x1-x2)   and this = - 2/9

                                                        (5-4) / (r - - 2) = -2/9

                                                           1/(r+2 ) = -2/9           you should be able to solve for 'r' from this.... 

X can be anything except    64 , 8 , - 8 , cubrt(64)

x = .76666666....

10x = 7.66666666...

100x = 76.6666666....

100x - 10 x =  76.66666....   -  7.666666

   90 x = 69

x = 69/90       simplify further if needed.............

Is that really 13.5⁵   in the numerator??    Using a calculator ,    I get x = 10063.39

5 girls must play against 4 other girls = 20 games  BUT 2 girls play in each game so divide by 2  =   10 games

or another way:

5 c 2 = 10 games

Set the two equations equal..... simplify so all of the terms are on one side of the = sign and '0' is on the other.,,

  Use Quadratic Formula to solve for 'x' s     use these values of x in oneof the equations to solve for the corresponding y's

x^2 - 8x       + y^2 + 16y       = - 34         'complete the square ' for x and y

(x-4)²            (y+8)²                = -34 + 16 + 64

this is circle in form   (x-h)^2  + (y-k)^2   = r^2    form      center is    h, k          take it from here !

 n =   log (1/4 sqrt2) / log 2 =   - 1.5

or

2^-2   * 2^1/2  = 2 ⁿ      

2^(-2+1/2)       = 2ⁿ     equate the exponents
