You were correct on the first part, 960 is the answer to the first part of the equation

To prove that, you would have to solve for x

x  = 0.6x + 384

Firstly, multipy both sides by 10

x * 10 = 0.6x + 384 * 10

x * 10 = 6x + 3840

Then subtract 6x on both sides

x * 10 - 6x = 6x + 3840 - 6x 

4x = 3840 

Then to single out the x on the left divide both sides by 4

\(\frac{4x}{4} = \frac{3840}{4}\)

x = 960

Then since it said 60% downloaded the song you would muliply 960 by 60%

960 * 60% = 576

576 is your final answer

To take out that fraction multiply both sides by 2

\(\frac{(x+20)}{2}*2=3x*2\)

\(x+20=6x\)

Then to cancle out the 20 subtract 20 on both sides

\(x + 20 - 20 = 6x - 20\)

\(x=6x-20\)

To combine terms subtract 6x on both sides

\(x-6x=6x-20-6x\)

\(-5x=-20\)

Then to single out the x on the left divide both sides by -5

\(\frac{-5x}{-5}=\frac{-20}{-5}\)

Simplify

\(x = 4\)

Your answer for x would be 4

You would have to find the area of the triangles. 

A = b * 3 * 0.5

To find the base take 10 - 6 = 4 and divide it by 2 = 2 

A = 2 * 3 * 0.5

A = 6 * 0.5 

A = 3

So the area of the triangles is 3

Then find the area of the ractangle:

A = b * h 

A = 6 * 3

A = 18 

Area of the rectangle is 18 

So add all the areas

18 + 3 + 3 = 24

Multiply it by the price $4

24 * 4 = 96

It will be $96
