After quickly seeing this, I think I have the answer to A and C.

a.) You can form a triangle if the line segment a was connected to a positive real number on the x axis EXCEPT for 0.

c.) You can form no triangle if the line segment a was connected to 0.

I have no idea how you could get 2 triangles.
