To kick things off, here is my best math joke.

I'll stop at nothing to avoid using negative numbers.

So you earn 50 plus 2 per sale. This is the same as the equation 2x+50.

To get the minimum number of sales necessary, set equal to 100.

\(2x+50=100\)

Subtract 50 from both sides.

\(2x=50\)

Divide both sides by 2.

\(x=25\)

So, to earn $100 a week, you have to make 25 sales.

The simple interest formula is: A = P(1 + rt) where P is the original amount of money to be invested at an Interest Rate r% per period for t number of time periods and A is the end balance.

A = 25000(1+(0.02)(4))

A = 25000(1+0.08)

A = 25000(1.08)

25000(1.08) = 27000

So, your ending balance would be $27,000.

I know what you are talking about, but every time it does that to me, it is because I never actually selected a photo to begin with.

If your screen looks like this picture before you hit upload, you have to actually choose the photo first.

Otherwise it will show this.

Since the standard form of a quadratic is y=a(x-a)²+b, we can plug in the vertex.

\(y=a(x+4)^2+7\)

To find a, plug in the point it passes through.

\(8=a(-3+4)^2+7\)

Simplify.

\(8=a(1)+7\)

\(8=a+7\)

\(1=a\)

So, the formula is \(y=(x+4)^2+7\).

Works fine for me.

3 speak Greek, Italian and English, 2 speak Greek and Italian, 7 speak English, 2 speak Italian and English, 1 speaks English and Greek, 1 speaks Italian only, and 3 speak Greek only. (I'm going to denote Greek to G, Italian to I, and English to E) That is 3 people (G, I, E)+ 2 people (G, I)+ 7 people (E)+ 2 people (I, E)+ 1 person (E, G)+ 1 person (I)+ 3 people (G)

That is 3 + 2 + 7 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 3 = 19

So, I would say 19 residents, but I'm not entirely sure.

After seeing that long and obnoxious answer, I think my teacher will be okay with me using my graphing calculator.
