Yes thank you, Melody, I never thought that my answer could be negative. I am lucky that the problem only had one answer.
Next time in these problems, I will make sure there are no negative answers
In these problems, I always try to match it to the form y=kx.
You can do this by isolating k
I couldn't find any way to do randint on this site.

However, the link above will give a random number generator if that is what you are looking for.
Hint: Use formula \(\frac{-b}{2a}\).
This is used to find the vertex, it should be trivial

I personally have a big problem remembering to distribute negatives. This has caused me to fail a "few" problems...
in these problems just take the square root of both sides. Remember it can be both positive and negative.
It is very simple
Notice the subtraction sign
That actually is a "multiply by negative 1"
So distribute the negative 1 like you normally distribute.
Then remove parentheses and combine like terms. Try it.
Good job Hectitar! I was stumped and now I know how to do this!
Ah! I realized that the first terms starts as 1. So using the same strategy.
If we count up 5 in the pattern, we will end up with the last digit of term 36.
So we count back 1 in the pattern
the correct answer is 8!
