The pattern for i to a power is
i^1 = i
i^2 = -1
i^3 = -i
i^4 = 1
So, just divide 57 by 4 and see what the remainder is....in this case, it will be 1. So "1" in the pattern = i
(If there is no remainder, the answer is 1)
We would have a reciprocal....
Note...
x^3 / x^-2 =
(x^3 / 1) / ( x^-2) =
(x^3 / 1) / (1/ x^2) =
(x ^ 3 / 1) * (x^2 / 1) =
x^5
Does that make sense ??
A variable with negative exponent in a fraction can always "travel" across the fraction bar. It's exponent then becomes positive......
So we have
x^3 / x^ -2 =
(x^3) * (x^2) =
(2/(-8+6))^8 OK.... we have
(2/(-2))^8 =
(-1)^8 =
1
That was pretty easy, huh??
We're not talking about a repeating pattern....we're talking about any random finite string of digits being found within pi. It is well established that pi itself is irrational....i.e, no general repeating pattern....
A 50% increase means that every dimension increases 1.5 times its original length....
It's just "a" multiplied by itself "n" times.......(to be technically correct, n-1 times !!!)
D ./ R = T .... so
(11 km ) / (15 km / h) = 11/15 hrs = (11/15) X 60 = 44 min
(240 / 360) x 60 minutes =
2/3 x 60 =
120 / 3 =
40 minutes
Adios....amigos !!!
