Volume of a Sphere

volume of sphere  =  \(\frac43\pi r^3\)            , where  r  is the radius of the sphere.

So let's plug in  3 cm  for  r  and we get...

volume of sphere  =   \(\frac43\pi (\ 3\ \small\text{cm}\ )^3\)     Now we can simplify the right side.

volume of sphere  =   \(\frac43\pi ( 27)\small\ \text{cm}^3\)

volume of sphere  =   \(36\pi\ \small\text{cm}^3\) .
