I'm a newbie here too, though what this site is in a nutshell is it's a community for regular people and math enthusiests to post questions for discussion. When someone answers a question they get points if their answer is relevant. Points really don't affect anything but how high you rank as a user. Also there's a really neat calculator here, if you haven't seen it yet.
The question is not how... but why...? Is it because your instructor told you to or because you persue the limitless possibilities and applicatons of math? Though what about those who created the fundementals of the math we do today? They never had instructors or any kind of instruction of where to start, it was the drve to discover and provide the countless textiles of knowledge and culture within these fundementals. When you can find what drives you to do math, then you'll understand how to math... c:
I've got you dude (dudett).
So each hotel has it's OWN percentage, meaning that you'll be ordering three items. The simplest way to find a percentage is by dividing the rented rooms by the total rooms then multiplying that by 100 and slapping that percentage sign next to your resulting answer.
Hotel one had 80% of it's rooms rented out since (36/45)x100= 80
Hotel two had 75% of it's rooms rented out due to (24/32)x100= 75
Hotel three had 83.33% of it's rooms rented out cuz (15/18)x100=83.3333333333333...
You can order these. Good luck, I hope this was of aid.
