I would assume so since you can only multply 1 by 1 to get... well 1.

The definition of a prime number:

 

An integer greater than one is called a prime number if its only positive divisors (factors) are one and itself. 

 

So no. 1 is NOT a prime number.

Whoops, thanks for clarifying that rarinstraw1195 I haven done anything with identifying prime numbers since... I have no clue, you don´t encounter stuff like this in Calculus BC. Am I right? haha
