What is the remainder when the base-50  integer 12345 base50   is divided by 48? Write your answer in base 10.

Is 48 in base 50 or in base 10?

How about answering my questions on your last post.

That is ok but I have asked you some questions, that you can learn from, and I am still waiting for answers.

I think of acceleration as the 'pull' on the object.

If a ball is thrown, it has an initial direction and speed.  But once it is in the air.  

What direction is it being pulled?  What is pulling it? 

I mean what is pulling on it to make it change its speed or direction?

I have answered this before but I think I made a bigger job of it last time.

\(\tan30 = \frac{1}{\sqrt3}=\frac{2}{2\sqrt3}\\ so \\ x=2\sqrt3\\ so\\ perimeter = 3(4\sqrt3+4)\\ perimeter =12( \sqrt3+1)\;\;units\\ perimeter \approx 32.78\;\;units\\\)

x=\frac{1}{2\sqrt3}=\frac{\sqrt3}{6}\\
so\\
perimeter = 3(\frac{2\sqrt3}{6}+4)\\
perimeter = \sqrt3+12\;\;units\\

difference means subtract.

So you want   

5639 =  one 4 digit number -  another 4 digit number 

If you rearrange this you get

   5639 +  4 digit number = another 4 digit number

 well any small 4 digit number will work for the first one and you can do the addition to get the second number

and it is going to have a vertical axis.

\(\frac{(y - k)^2}{a^2} - \frac{(x - h)^2}{b^2} = 1\)

c is the distance from the  centre to a focus so          \(c=\frac{\sqrt5}{4}\)

\(|PF_1-PF_2|=1=2a\\ so\;\;\;a=0.5\)

Then you have     \(c^2=a^2+b^2\)

so you can find b

Not so difficult after all.
