Then $5 = 500 cents,

Given that a week has 7 days the answer is

500 cents - 7*g cents (where * stands for times or multiplied by) after one week

or similarly $5 - 0.01 * g * 7 after one week

My question is: How do you identify ? like how do you know whether it is max or min.

In this case, max stands for maximum and min stands for minimum,
A maximum is the highest value in your graph, or simply said the most upper point,
The minimum is the lowest value in your graph, or simply said the lowest point in your graph

I think you might haver made a small typo scruntinizer because 5x-3 > 0 => x > 3/5

how do you round numbers to the correct two decimal places

two decimal places means two digits behind the dot (for example 2.34)
If we want to round of the number 3.4652943 then we examine the third digit behind the dot (which in this case is a 5)
If the number is a 5,6,7,8 or 9 we add 1 to the second digit behind the dot.
if the number is 0,1,2,3 or 4 we leave the second digit as it.
So 3.4652943 would become 3.47 and 3.4642943 would become 3.46

Your notation might lead to some misinterpretation but I think what you mean is x^2 + 2xy + y^2 which means x ² + 2xy + y ²
