I'm sure you meant πr^2. The only thing that comes to mind is, that is the equation to find the area of a circle.

A profit is a financial gain, especially the difference between the amount earned and the amount spent in buying.

So you'd see this as +$460 since he is GAINING money. Not losing it.

A = πr² is the equation to a whole circle.

A = (1/2) πr² is the euqaton to a SEMIcircle (or half of a circle)

Since you are given a diameter of 50.6 cm, you need to half it to get the radius... that would be 25.3 cm.

Now all that's left to do is plug in and solve:

A = (1/2) π(25.3 cm)²

The exact answer is...

A= 320.045π cm²

Wait, can someone clarify what this is exactly? There are many things on this site that are new to me, and this is one of them.

Math isn't hard per se, you dertermination (and just a bit of logic) are what can make a subject hard or easy. For example, I try my best in my Calculus class and do well in it. As for AP European History, I hardly put ant effort and do not as great. 

I believe that you would just divide 302.325m² by two thus giving you two equal halfs.

302.325 / 2 = 151.1625

Just use the correct units and done.
