Adding onto rainstraw1195's answer, radian and degree modes usually come into play affect the answer you get for trig functions such as sin or cos.

Well... since there is no "s" in the function that means s = 0.

Implied that by saying the unit circle had a radius of one and the person getting below one. It wasn't all that clear so thank you for clarifying.

Terribly sorry if I burst out there, I just get extremely offended especially having to care a mentally disabled person from time to time. These people are quite fascinating and you eventually learn they too have the emotions we do and they too have to ability to learn. You start off with:

-10 - 3y = 17

Add 10 to both sides of the equation:

-3y = 27

Divide by -3 on both sides:

y = -9

If you are doing any kind of math below Calculus (such as Algebra or Geometry), then these shouldn't matter to you. Rad mode is radian mode, meaning that trgonometric calculations like Sin(π/3) would have a different answer than the same input but in Des mode or degree mode.

The answer is two. And you other two guests out there using the word "retard" as a derogatroy term are clearly simple minded. You don't know that it means to describe a person with mental disabilities, even so, it is by no means okay for people to be saying that like if it were a fad. Sine (or Sin) is a trigonometric notation used in a multitude of ways, you'll learn more as you go. Sine represents the "y" coordinate for an angle on the unit circle, if you get some random number while putting a number with sine, it's usually below one or just one. This is because the unit circle has a radius of one, as I said you'll learn more as you go. Sine plays an important role in higher level math so expect to be seeing it more often.

You can use an equation to represent this and hopefully obtain your answer.

Let "a" be the toys he sold, "b" be the toys he made, and "c" be the profit.

Selling toys at $4 each, making them at $2 (meaning you'll subtract that from his profit).

Your equation will be 4(a) = (c) - 2(b)
