He's a part of the furniture around here now.  

Sometimes he can be nasty but we white out the worst of it.

The square root of  16 is 4 because  4*4=16

If you are asked for the square root of 25, you are being asked for the number that when multiplied by itself is 25.  The answer is 5 because 5*5=25

$$\\\sqrt{25}=5$$

If you are asked for the root of 100 then you are really being asked for the square root.

 The answer would be 10
