subtract 3b from both sides

subtract 2 from both sides

a)   solve for H

b)   Once you have H you cansub it back into  376+12H  or into   280+15H    to find the cost of this job.

 If 2x + 13 = 17, find the value of 3x + 1

2x=4

times both sides by 1.5

3x=6

3x+1=6+1=7

     500+  2.5% of 160000

=500 + 2.5/100*160000     dollars

there is more than one way to do this most people would solve fo x and then find x-4 but I want to be different

3x - 13 = 8

3x - 12-1 = 8
