Well i don't usually make the same assumptions as Chris makes.

the 15% bottle is not used so it is irrelevant.

I am going to assume that the bottle containing the 90% concentrate is completely full. When the chemist tries to pour more acid into that bottle it cannot go in because the bottle is already full. 

So the concentrate remains at 90% and the Chemist has to go to hospital to get his burns treated.  (yes it is bound to be a male, I expect that there are more male chemists in the world than female so I expect that statistically my bias would prove to be somewhat justified - sorry guys)

This is why chemists should never drink on the job!

I just have a passion for mathematics and I want to pass that passion onto other people wherever it is possible.

I did not think that momentum and velocity were the same thing but the question asks for momentum and you answered with a velocity so I was confused. 

So does that mean that the combined momentum is     $$1.\bar{3}*3000 = 4000\;kg\;m/s$$

Well i am glad that you did not want to start something that you could not finish but if you make a spelling mistake perhaps you should not blame others.  Your computer cannot even defend itself.

So you have to use trig.

depending on where you put the 40 degrees it could be cos or sin.

I appologise, I thought your were just trying to make it complicated.

Converting to inches and then back again really is a most awkward way of doing it but if it works for you that is fine.

I would not do it your way anyhow but I am Australian, we have not used feet and inches on a general basis since about 1970 so converting from metres to inches (unnecessarily) would never make sense to me. :))

Remember Rosala, pi is an irrational number so your answer is an approximation.
