That fraction thing had lots of parts I think.  Lots of video clips with exercises inbetween each one.

Did you work through all of it  ??

You can use the units to help you

$$\\\not{km}\times \frac{hours}{\not{km}}=hours\\
so\\
\not{km}\div \frac{\not{km}}{hours}=hours\\
so\\
3.3\not{km}\div \frac{3\not{km}}{hours}=3.2\div 3 hours\\
that's\\
1.0\bar6\;\;hours \\
and\\
0.0\bar6\;\;hour=0.1\times 60 =4\;\;minutes\\
$So that is$ \\
$1 hour and 4 minutes$$$

$$\frac{x}{2^{-3}}=\frac{x*2^{+3}}{1}=8x$$

you always get these correct but you do not need to make them looks so complicated.

$$\\2^{-3}=\frac{2^{-3}}{1}\\\\
$Now anything raised to a neg power gets swapped to the other side of the fraction line, and anything not raised to a negative power stays where it is$\\\\
$So the 1 stays , the $2^{-3}$ goes to the other side of the fraction line and the - becomes a +. $\\\\
$There is nothing on the top any more so just put a 1 there$\\\\
\frac{2^{-3}}{1}=\frac{?}{1*2^{+3}}=\frac{1}{2^{3}}\\\\$$

Once you do a couple you wil see that it is heaps easier.
