There is no working out - not really - it is just addition.
The minus signs belong to the number that follows it and they are all just added together.
-5+8-7-13+2+9
=3-7-13+2+9
=-4-13+2+9
=-17+2+9
=-15+9
=-6
OR you could look at how to put the numbers together so that it is a little easier.
=-5+19-20
=-5-1

There are a number of ways
T_n means T subscript n
Tn I wrote this by writing Tn and then high lighting the n and and then choosing subscript from the drop down format menu. After you do this though it will stay in subscript format until you substript again and that will cancel it out. It is kind of weird.
I would do it using the LaTex Formula button. I would put T_n in the input box and then press ok.

Consider the right angled triangle ABX Where BX is the vertical line.
<ABX = 90- alpha
<ABX+ <XBH= 90
so angle XBH = alpha
The angle that you are questioning is vertically opposite this angle so it is also alpha.

I think of a number and multiply it 1000 times by 4. The answer is the same as if I had started with twice the original number and multiplied it by 2 how many times?
