Its PEMDAS, just like how my great 5th grade teacher taught us students.

PEMDAS=parentheses () exponents x^y multiplication * division / addition + and subtraction -

since addition and subtraction work in a similar way, all you need to do is work out the problem from beginning to end

so like=

-5+8=3

3-7=-4

-4-13=-17

-17+2=15

15+9=-6

and -6 is your answer

You shall work it out by Pemdas!

if you want the answer cuz you are too lazy to figure it out yourself:

-5+8-7-13+2+9=-6

There is no working out - not really - it is just addition.

The minus signs belong to the number that follows it and they are all just added together.

-5+8-7-13+2+9

=3-7-13+2+9

=-4-13+2+9

=-17+2+9

=-15+9

=-6

OR you could look at how to put the numbers together so that it is a little easier.

-5+8-7-13+2+9

=-5+19-20

=-5-1

=-6
