x+8>0 because you cannot find the log of a number that is less than or equal to 0

x>-8 and x not equal to +8

Just remember that A LOG IS A POWER (or exponent if that is the word you usually use)
$$10^4=1000\quad \rightarrow \quad log_{10}1000=4$$
You can do the others Sally - I think that they are all the same.

Do it straight on a calc - the web2 calc seems to be having problems with it - I don't know why.

This would be an approximation. I did it on my Casio calc.
