I don't think  that is quite right snip3s

Just imagine that there are 3 baskets on each table

then there would be 3+4=7 strawberries in each basket.

On one table there would be 3(3+4)  strawberries (that is 3 baskets with 7 strawberries in each)

On 5 tables there would be 5*3(3+4) strawberries.

NOW just replace the 3baskets with b baskets

5*b(b+4) = 5b(b+4) strawberries.

tan -1 (inverse tan) is the same as atan (arc tan)

so it is just '2nd' then 'atan'   really just the same as any other calculator.

I have never heard the term abreviated fraction before - this is an improper fraction.

Questions like this need explanation.  They can get the answer out of the back of the book.

Find 2r2 + 3s3 - r2 + 4t2 - r2 if r = -2, s = -3, and t = 5.

$$2*(-2)^2+3*(-3)^3-(-2)^2+4*(5)^2-(-2)^2\\\\
=2*4+3*-27-4+4*25-4\\\\
=8-81-4+100-4\\\\
=19$$

I just want to talk about your soln for a moment.

if your solving to combine the two equations into one you would write them on top of each other like this

8x+y=-16

-3x+y=-5    (you fogot the minus sign)

then you would combine like terms straight down to get

5x+2y=-11   NO THIS HAS NOT WORKED

You have started with the right idea but you line them up like this so that you can ELIMINATE one of the letters.

If you subtracted instead of adding you would have  8x--3x+y-y=-16--5 which becomes 11x=-11

x=-1   etc
