2(-2)^2 + 3(-3)^3 - (-2)^2 + 4(5)^2 - (-2)^2

Okay, all the variables are accounted for now. Lets do the exponents now.

(-2)^2 = 4

(-3)^3 = -27

(5)^2 = 25

Let's fill in the missing values:

2(4) + 3(-27) - (4) + 4(25) - (4)

Multiply what needs to be multiplied.

(8) + (-81) - (4) + (100) - (4)

The (8) is cancelled out by the two - (4)s.

(-81) + (100)

100 - 81 = 19

Your answer is 19

Yep, just fixed it now Alan

GoldenLeaf, you put 4(20) instead of 4(25) for 4t2 when you started to fill in the missing values!
