I'd recommend just putting this in the site's calculator and getting an answer.

As you probably already know, you can find this at the homepage...or go to this link: http://web2.0calc.com/

If your wondering how you solve this, just go by the order of operations. This goes:

Exponets and parentheses, then

Multiplication and division, then

Addition and subtraction

Let's plug this into the question

5+4÷3*99-8

5+1.333*99-8

5+132-8

137-8

129

I figured out the flaw in this problem after looking it up on a website.

The equation they have here is a bit different, but it's the same concept.

https://www.math.toronto.edu/mathnet/falseProofs/first1eq2.html

Click on "Step 8" to read why this step has a flaw in it.

Basically, you can't simplify

2(a-b) = 1(a-b)

to

2 = 1

because a = b

so a - b = 0

2(0) = 1(0)

so..

0 = 0

Hope this makes sence, it actually took me a little bit of thinking to understand it myself. :)
