Oh yeah here's a question you had earlier
WARNING: INCOMING FLASHBACK:
Usually I'm talking, but I'm gonna help you here
x+2y=8
x+2y=4
well I'm telling you, the answer is NO SOLUTION, or in simpler terms, the equations are not true
in order to understand, use the elimination method of solving for X & y
x+2y=8
-1 (X+2y=4) <----distribute here by multiplying this whole equation by -1, or make the positives negative in simpler terms
Now it it should look like this
x+2y=8
-x-2y=-4
now eliminate by subtraction
x-x=0
2y-2y=0
8-4=4
0=4
wait a minute, that is NOT true, 0 IS NOT EQUAL to 4, and there's no variable left cuz all the ones have been eliminated, therefore, there is NOT A SINGLE SOLUTION, you can't solve for x or y
FLASHBACK ENDS HERE
youre welcome
