If the negative number, let's call it -T, encounters a 0 exponent, which applied should look something like this: -T^0, that means you don't do anything and -T remains -T

heres two other things to know about exponents:

if the number encounters the usual positive exponent, you multiply the number times itself whatever the exponent says

for example, 3^3=3*3*3=27

now let's say you encounter the devil negative exponent

basically same concept, except you have your answer as a fraction, with 1 being the numerator, and the result of the multiplication as the denominator, which should look somewhat like this: 3^-3=3*3*3=27=1/27

now eliminate by subtraction

wait a minute,that is NOT true, 0 IS NOT EQUAL to 4, and there's no variable left cuz all the ones have been eliminated, therefore, there is NOT A SINGLE SOLUTION, you can't solve for x or y
